"Melanie's cottage was wonderful! It is set right on the Appalachian Trail. My granddaughter is thru hiking the trail. I decided to meet her in Hot Springs. She and two of her hiker friends stayed at the cottage with me. It was a welcome respite for the hikers. It gave them a chance to rest, soak their tired bodies in the hot tub, and do their laundry. The cottage was a short walk to restaurants, brewery, small grocery store, and Dollar General, which is very well stocked with reasonably priced food choices. The cottage is old, but nicely maintained with updates that make it feel cozy and inviting.Melanie, The Host, was super nice and helpful. We had a couple of issues that were promptly taken care of. Also,Melanie has been helping me locate a package that seems to have been lost at the post office. She still stops by the post office on occasion to see if it has shown up.You will love this cottage for it's charm, location, amenities, and great host! I highly recommend it."

"Great get away. Private, quiet, peaceful, and only 15-25 minutes from all amenities. Kids had lots of fun and enjoyed the weekend get away. The house is spacious and open. All together it was a great stay with a very responsive host."

"Best night in jail I’ve ever spent. Not why everyone is scared of jail showers but this one was way better than I expected based on things I’ve heard. Seriously though, top-notch job done on this reno. Really unique cool place. Highly recommend!"

"The host communication was excellent. We had a small issue with a towel rack and it was fixed immediately without any inconvenience to us. The beds were comfortable and the bunk room was perfect for our four kids. We loved the hot tub was relaxing and had wonderful evening views. "

"Well stocked kitchen. Very spacious, a lot of space.When we arrived the side door was unlocked. House numbers not well seen from road- making it hard to find at night. Hot tub did not get very warm. Some of the carpets were stained/dirty- likely from previous pets that stayed. "

"The sound of the river rushing along the cabin was a highlight of this property. Also a very nice natural rock seating area and fire pit next to the river was wonderful. "
